This course covers OSHA's updated silica standard that increases protection of workers through a number of exposure assessment and control measures. In this course teaches about the potential risks of inhaling silica dust, how to prevent exposures and how to respond if an exposure occurs. Topics covered include what is crystalline silica, what materials and processes can cause exposure, what are the exposure limits, what are the health risks associated with silica exposure, what are the ways to prevent exposure, appropriate actions to take in the event of a silica exposure.
